How did you get involved in your sport? How long have you been participating?

I started racing at a local track in Stockton, CA. We called it “Grudge” racing back then. You’d race whoever pulled up next to you and try to get a win.

I’m blessed to have been racing for 41 years

I’ve been in 14 NHRA Final Rounds where I’ve won the following:

• National Event Wins – 2009 Pomona, CA / 2010 & 2012 Phoenix, AZ
• Divisional Event Wins – 2003 Tucson, AZ / 2006 & 2011 Bakersfield, CA / 2007, 2010, 2017 – Sonoma, CA
• 2007 Division 7 KD Kanopy Race Series Super Comp Champion
• 2006 Division 7 Jeg’s Allstar Super Comp Representative
• 2004 West Coast Super Comp Race Club Championship
• Division 7 Top 10 Finisher 4x

Purrfectly Pawsible – a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping with the feral cat population in our surrounding area.

I love drag racing so much, my wife and I with another couple, have been promoting the 890 Race Series here on the west coast. With fewer places to race in our area, we are working toward giving Super Comp racers a place to come have fun for the weekend without driving a long distance.

I was inducted into Hilmar High School Hall of Fame in 2012 for my accomplishments in sports. I also have a track record, that will never be broken, for the 200-yard dash.

I was a walk-on try out for the San Francisco 49ers football team in 1972 where Gene Washington got the job instead of me…
